Protocols

An Operating Manual for the Human Body

When you control your body, you control your mind.

Stress and calm. Fatigue and energy. Despair and joy. We spend our lives trying to harness these mental states. But we usually fail. Because we are focusing on our minds, when we should be focusing on our bodies.

Stanford neuroscience professor Andrew Huberman - creator of the phenomenal The Huberman Lab podcast - is the world's leading expert on the interaction of our nervous system and our mental state. His research has led him to a handful of simple tweaks to what we do that transform how we feel. He calls them the protocols.

Here, Huberman uncovers how these protocols can unexpectedly revolutionise our mood, our focus and our health. His endlessly surprising insights include:

- How learning to blink less can make you focus more
- How random 10-second pauses in your day help your focus more intently
- How 'Non-Sleep Deep Rest' can help sustain you for hours longer without sleep

On every page, Protocols offers scientific advice unlike anything you have read before. By transforming what you do, it will transform how you think.
