Our recent impact
Purpose has always been part of Penguin’s DNA, ever since one of our founders – Allen Lane – had a vision to make good quality books affordable and accessible to everyone. We remain true to Lane’s original vision today through our mission: we make books for everyone, because a book can change anyone.
This mission extends to our social impact and sustainability strategy. We focus on tackling the issues which may threaten the future of reading and where – as a publisher – we can have the greatest possible impact.
