Strategy Director

As Strategy Director – and a book lover – the successful future of our business is top of mind for me. Throughout my career at Bertelsmann and Penguin Random House in New York and London, I’ve been focussed on managing the implications of the digital transformation on media businesses. Publishing may be one of the most traditional media industries, but it’s also at the forefront of fundamental market shifts like the growth of eCommerce and rise of digital content formats. I’m convinced that these developments enable us more than ever to deliver on our mission to connect diverse audiences with our books, and I’m passionate about working alongside our teams to evolve our UK businesses to achieve this.

A book that's left a deep impression on me: All of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novels, but The Brothers Karamazov probably left the deepest impression on me.

My literary hero: I can’t really single out one  literary hero, as there are too many literary characters that have left a lasting impression on me – and they are not always exactly what you would call a hero…

A book I'd recommend to everyone: Over the last year, I’ve recommended the novel A Gentleman in Moscow to very different readers to unilaterally positive feedback.
