The Horne Section

The Horne Section are a comedy musical band led by Alex Horne, the creator and host of the hit Bafta winning TV Series Taskmaster. The Horne Section also have their own critically acclaimed ‘musical sitcom’ on Channel 4. Currently in production with a second series and created, written by, and starring Alex Horne and The Horne Section. For the first series the Guardian said, ‘This riotously fun sitcom is an utter delight’ while the Independent called it ‘Endlessly charming’ and The Sunday Times called it ‘a first-class comedy’.

The Horne Section are: Alex Horne (band leader), Joe Auckland (trumpet and banjo), Mark Brown (saxophone and guitar), Will Collier (bass), Ben Reynolds (drums and percussion) and Ed Sheldrake (keyboards). Members of The Horne Section have performed with recording artists including Robbie Williams, Madness, Florence and the Machine, Amy Winehouse, George Ezra, Basement Jaxx, Disclosure and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
