Bake some fun squashed fly biscuits
Murder Most Unladylike fans will love getting the party started with a delicious batch of squashed fly biscuits, Daisy and Hazel’s favourites! Serve with ghostly milk for a spooktacular midnight feast.
You will need:
• 110g self-raising flour
• pinch of salt
• 25g spreadable butter
• 25g caster sugar
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 50g currants (or squashed flies!)
• some egg white
• a sprinkle of granulated sugar
How to make them:
1. Preheat your oven to 200C
2. Mix flour, salt and butter in a large mixing bowl and rub into fine crumbs
3. Add sugar and mix in enough milk to create a firm dough
4. Move the mixture to a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour and roll into a rectangle
5. Sprinkle the currants (squashed flies!) on half the surface. Fold the remaining half on top of the squashed flies and re-roll into the original rectangle
6. Cut into spooky fingers and place the biscuits on a baking sheet. Brush with some egg white and sprinkle with sugar for extra Halloween sweetness
7. Bake near the centre of the oven for 12–15 minutes, and cool on a wire tray.
Now you have a batch of gruesome squashed fly biscuits, a perfect treat for the ultimate midnight feast!
