Make your own Christmas Tree Mouse!

It's Christmastime! Keep your little ones busy by making your own Christmas Tree Mouse, inspired by Joseph Coelho and Farah Shah's new picture book.

The Christmas Tree Mouse is one of Santa’s most important helpers – every Christmas Eve she helps to brush away Santa’s snowy footprints, nibble up his mince pie crumbs and check that all of the correct presents are under the tree.

@Liddierowl has put together a step-by-step guide to make your very own Christmas Tree Mouse out of empty toilet roll tubes, glue, paint and felt. Let's get crafting!

1) Take two empty toilet roll tubes.

2) On your first tube, make a pencil outline of your mouse (without ears) and trim with scissors.

    3) From your second tube - cut two mouse ears, a bauble hat and an arm for your mouse.

    4) Using watercolour paint, or paint pens, paint your mouse body, arm and ears brown. Paint your bauble hat yellow.

    5) Cut a vest from white felt and a red felt backpack.

    6) Stick all the parts together and once dry, add details with paint markers. Your Christmas tree mouse is ready! 🎄🐭
