This Christmas, an animated version of Charlie Mackesy's gorgeously rendered, beloved fable will hit television screens across the UK, giving families and loved ones across the country the chance to gather together for a new Christmas classic.

Ahead of its screening, the hardback book version of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse: The Animated Story will be released on 22 November. Below, read an exclusive extract from the book, in which the foursome take shelter from a storm.
