Penguin quiz: who said it, Bridgerton or Pride and Prejudice?

Shonda Rhimes’ TV show has all the romantic drama of Jane Austen’s famous novel, and then some – but can you tell which quotations come from which?

It needs no introduction, really: Bridgerton is everywhere. Shonda Rhimes’ series, based on Julia Quinn’s novels and set in Regency-era London, centres on the Bridgerton family, just as the social season begins and the city’s debutantes are presented at court. Such is its popularity that, within a month of the first series release, it was already renewed for a second series.

Bridgerton’s deliciously addictive drama has drawn more than a few comparisons to Jane Austen’s iconic Pride and Prejudice, not just for sharing a historical era, but for its tone and wit too. But can you tell which of the below quotations are from Rhimes’ new drama, and which are Austen originals?
