Who Moved My Cheese and Out of the Maze book covers

This week Vermilion, an imprint of Ebury Publishing, is excited to announce the sale of over 4 million copies of Spencer Johnson’s fable Who Moved My Cheese?; making it Ebury Publishing’s all-time bestselling title.

The New York Times describes Who Moved My Cheese? as a ‘publishing phenomenon’. First published in the UK in 1998, it has sold over 28 million copies worldwide, and been translated into 44 languages. Its advice has helped everyone from CEOs to sports-personalities and stay-at-home parents.

Who Moved My Cheese? is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a Maze and look for Cheese to nourish them and make them happy. A simple yet profound book, it shows readers how to anticipate and adapt to change time and time again to enjoy more success in work and in life.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Who Moved My Cheese?  this week Vermilion is publishing the long-awaited sequel Out of the Maze, featuring many of the original characters. Sadly Spencer Johnson died in July 2017, shortly after delivering the manuscript to Out of the Maze.

Vermilion Publishing Director Susanna Abbott said, ‘Who Moved My Cheese? is a little book with a huge reach and we are so proud to have been its champion. I firmly believe that in these uncertain, fast-changing times we need all the inspiration and resources we can get to adapt and thrive. Who Moved My Cheese? and its wonderful sequel Out of the Maze have a vital role to play now and in years to come."
