Congratulations to our winners at the 2017 Observer Food Monthly Awards

Four Penguin Random House authors were among the winners at the 2017 Observer Food Monthly Award winners last night. Now in their 14th year, the awards champion the best producers, restaurants, and retailers in the UK and are voted for by both readers and a judging panel.

In the reader-voted categories, Meera Sodha won Best new cookbook for  Fresh India (Fig Tree)a vegetarian cookbook that reveals a whole new side of Indian food that is fresh, delicious and quick to make at home. Jamie Oliver was presented with Best Instagram feed for food Lovers and Rick Stein was awarded Best food personality.

The judges awarded Best newcomer in food and drink to temper, a London based restaurant chain launched by Low and Slow author Neil Rankin, which cooks fresh food using only wood and charcoal in an open fire pit.
